Haldwani To Munsyari [Dis · 280 Km Drive]

Munsiyari is one of those places that is bound to leave you charmed and wanting to come back for more. Nestled in the snow-capped peaks at an altitude 2,298 meters, it is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurous souls; offering splendid vistas and mesmerizing views all around.

 
Munsyari To Bugdyar

After breakfast drive to Rargari from where the trek to Nanda Devi BC commences. The trail from Rargari to Bugdyar has some ups and downs with increasing altitude. Watch shepherds grazing their animals on the beautiful green meadows. After a steep uphill climb you will reach Bugdyar. Bugdiyar is a beautiful place set at an elevation of 2500mts above sea level. Overnight in Bugdiyar.

Bugdyar To Rilkot

Today's trek goes through mule bridges, granite rock faces, frozen ice streams and a final steep ascent to the village of Rilkot. Rilkot is situated at an altitude of 3130mts above sea level. En route one can divert to the Laspa village and further to northern glacier of Nandakot. Rilkot is a beautiful place for camping, guarded by huge cliffs on both side.

RILKOT TO GANGHAR

After walking a few kilometers from Rilkot the route diverts to two paths, one going up and the other down. Follow the downward trail. Burfu and Mapa are mid points of the trek. See the ruins of old village of Rilkot while trekking to Ganghar Village. Walking in the midst of the meadows you will arrive at the village Ganghar. This village marks the beginning of the Panchu Valley which eventually leads to Nanda Devi BC. Explore the culture of this area and stay overnight at this village.

GANGHAR TO NANDA DEVI BC

After trekking for about 5 hours and 7 kms, you will discover the Panchu Glacier on the Northern face of Nanda Devi. Stay overnight here. Watch the beautiful sunset & sunrise at the Nanda Devi Peak from here. Walk up and down the glacier and get a very clear and beautiful view of the Nanda Devi Peak. 

NANDA DEVI BC TO MILAM

You will trek downhill for a while before having an uphill trek at a distance. After trekking for a few kilometers, you reach Milam Village. It is the last village on the route to Milam Glacier and is also one of the remotest villages of Uttarakhand state. Milam Village is situated at an elevation of 3420mts above sea level. Milam was part of the ancient silk route of Tibet in ancient times. After Overnight in Milam village.

MILAM TO MARTOLI

The town of Martoli falls on an important ancient trade route, therefore you will see a number of houses with many ancient wood carvings. Bilju and Burfu are mid points of the trek. This town is also famous for getting the unbeatable views of the Nanda Devi east and the Nanda Kot. Stay here overnight.

MARTOLI TO LASPA

Trekking back from Martoli village to Laspa Village is quite enervating as it goes through ups and downs. But the scenic views will surely make you think about the existence of the place called heaven.

LASPA TO MUNSYARI

As you trek down the route will become easy but also tiresome. Walk slowly and steadily from Laspa Village to Rargari, enjoying the enchanting view of grasslands, streams and waterfalls. Drive back to Munsyari from Rargari and carry back memorable moments. Start your final steps of this unforgettable and adventurous trek Trek back towards Munsiyari.

MUNSYARI TO HALDWANI/KATHGODAM

You will be dropped at Haldwani/Kathgodam bus station or railway station in a pre-booked vehicle or cab.
